Why we need a reset for water

Investment has been constrained even as pressure has grown on ageing water and waste infrastructure. This has left the sector with its highest ever need for investment.

Establishing a new mandate for the water sector

We need the UK and Welsh governments to set a smaller number of clearer objectives to inform the decisions made by regulators and water companies.

Targeting and accelerating investment

Decisions about investment need to be faster, more flexible and more responsive to local environments. It needs to be quicker, easier and cheaper to build new infrastructure.
